Our mission

The main mission of the “Food Identity Association” is to establish and maintain an active network between former, current and future students of the “Master Food Identity” formation, as well as with teachers, universities, companies, producers and other institutions involved in the training and in the field of terroir and quality products.

Vision

  • To participate in the development of the "Master Food Identity", to its longevity and prosperity.

  • To contribute to sustainable development of terroir products sector and the communities that support them. 

  • To promote international development, promotion and marketing of terroir, regional and traditional products as a strategy for security and food sovereignty of human beings and for the emancipation of nations.

  • To produce and share knowledge and know-how in the field of terroir agricultural and food products, for the direct production of information and support for research and innovation.

  • To monitor trends on agriculture, food and food production in order to fit the needs of the association and its members according to the historical, socio-economic and cultural context.

  • To defend and safeguard cultural, biological, agricultural and food diversity by supporting projects and actors involved in these causes.

  • To be a reference for an international network of specialists on local products.

Values

  • Diversity -Respect and welcome the cultural, linguistic, ethnic, religious, food, socio-economic and age diversity, promoting exchanges and meetings between people.

  • Sustainability - Promote actions and initiatives that address all dimensions of sustainable development: the equitable sharing of resources, the preservation and protection of natural resources and cultures, as well as their viability and sustainability.

  • Sharing - Share experiences, resources and knowledge between members and all other stakeholders engaged around the production and training of typical and quality products.

  • Solidarity - Create links of solidarity, not only among members but also with individuals and third party communities.

  • Terroir - Understanding the plurality of elements that are part of a territory and promote the safeguarding of practices and traditional skills and biological, agricultural, cultural and food diversity in the world.

  • Ethics, Commitment et Transparency - Being committed to transparency, clarity and ethics, to promote trust

  • Global Approach - Having a global perspective on the production and consumption of food in the world, considering its complexity and totality in time and space.
